Our Story

Little Creek Market is the retail side of the Lewis Family farming operations. Named after the former Little Creek Dairy, the current farm is operated by the Lewis family on the same land. The Little Contentnea Creek flows through the land of the original homestead, but most folks know it as the creek that floods Lewis Store Road about twice a year.

The farm has had to evolve and change, now on it’s 5th generation of Lewis’. Where dairy cows, a sawmill and a fertilizer house stood, now is home to commercial hog houses, a pecan cracker, and pastureland for our beef cattle. Gone is the tobacco, replaced with sweet potatoes and peanuts. This is the definition of our land, our farm, the tenacity and dedication to producing food for our community, adapting with the times.

Little Creek Market offers the variety of products from the Lewis Family. In addition to our annual produce crops, we also grow and raise pecans, grapes, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, figs, perennial cut flowers, eggs, honey, beef, pork, chicken and the occasional lamb. We also raise sweet potatoes and peanuts on a commercial scale, which we offer for sale to the public in the fall. Miriam and Jessica always have an idea for what to add, or grow next. If you are looking for something local, we have it, or know where to get it.
